The 2020/2021 racing season was a good one for the stable with 3 X Group 3 winners, 1 Listed win and a further 4 placings at Stakes level.
Dosh our 2 year old Rich Enuff filly was the star for us in this past racing year. Her first start in a race was up the Flemington straight on Oaks Day in the Group 3 Ottowa Stakes. She held on for a super win, after being wayward in the straight. Jordan Childs was able to guide her to an important Stakes win. It was a great thrill for her owners, for some of them it was their first foray into ownership experience and what an entry into horse ownership.
Coming back from her spell she contested the Group 3 Blue Diamond Preview at Caulfield and was able to win again. Unfortunately, she was unable to contest the Blue Diamond Stakes but has benefited from having a nice long break. We are looking forward to her resuming in the Listed Cap D’Antibes at Flemington on the 11th of September.
Nonconformist added to his Group tally with a strong win in the Group 3 Coongy Handicap at Caufield. First up from his spell he was able to finish 3rd in the Group 3 Carlyon Cup at Caulfield in a slowly run race. He finished the season with a strong second placing in the Listed Mornington Cup over 2400 metres. We are looking forward to the Spring with him.
Romancer has had a wonderful season at the ripe age of 7 winning the Listed Straight Six at Flemington and finishing second in the Group 3 Aurie’s Star again up the straight at Flemington.
3 year old filly Butter Chicken had a great start to her career finishing second in her first race start at Cranbourne over 1400 metres and then produced a convincing win to break her maiden over a mile at Pakenham.
She then stepped up to the Group 2 Autumn Classic at Caulfield over 1800 metres which provided the daughter of Savabeel with an all important second placing in Group 2 company. We are sure with her catchy name she will garner a cult following.
Galaxy Raider rates a mention for his third placing at Group 2 level in the Victoria Handicap at Caulfield adding to his Listed Winter Championship third placing.
Other notable mentions go to ultra consistent Fiorente mare Lunar Flare who has posted 4 wins since joining our stable, her most recent win was an impressive one at Flemington in June.
Written Tycoon gelding Scantoon has been able to add 2 city wins and 2 city placings to his resume. He has been been very consistent and is now putting it all together.
Exciting Written Tyccon 2 year old filly Libiamo was able to win at her very first race start at Caulfield beating the in form Zapateo. Hopefully a stakes win for this filly is not far away.
We have a few nice 2 and 3 year old’s yet to hit the track and we are very excited at what the new season may bring. Hoping one of our stable can reach Group One Glory.
We can’t achieve the results we have without the hard work by our amazing team and with our loyal clients and we can’t thank them enough for their support.
