It is an exciting month ahead of Spring Racing for us all at Grahame Begg Racing having a runner in both the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups. With our boutique stable of 30 horses in the stable it is quite an achievement.
We start off tomorrow with Nonconformist in the Caulfield Cup hoping to go one better than last years second placing.
We are over the moon to have our very first runner in the Melbourne Cup with Lunar Flare. She will be contesting the Group 2 Moonee Valley Gold Cup next week, the same race she won last year. It will be her final lead up race leading into the Cup. We have a very happy ownership group to say the least.
After Cardinal Gem’s exciting win in the Listed Weekend Hussler last Saturday at Caulfield he will be heading up the Hume Highway to take his place in the 10 million dollar Golden Eagle at Rosehill. What a ride he is giving his large ownership group.
Written By’s half sister “C’est Magique” who was luckless in her last start in the Thoroughbred Club Stakes is being aimed up at the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington. She has shown a liking for the Flemington straight, finishing second in the Cap D’Antibes giving her valuable black type.
Our other well performed horses that will be aimed at races over the coming weeks are Katsu, Rose Quartz, Vespertine and Gracias Amigo
